Montpellier is located in the south of France. It is convenient for international access (high-speed train from/to Paris, 3h20; international airport, 12 flights/day to/from Paris). Montpellier is an attractive city with numerous hotel facilities (7,800 rooms). Local road infrastructure and public transportation allow easy connections within the city and between the research campus and the city centre. Montpellier’s time zone (intermediate between Asia and the Americas) and phone/internet facilities allow easy communication with the rest of the world.
The symposium will be organized at Le Corum, the Montpellier conference centre, in the historic heart of the city (map). This will allow easy access, by a 10-minute walk from hotels in the city centre (which is a pedestrian area) or by a 10-20-minute tramway or bus ride from other hotels.
Le Corum offers the full range of modern facilities for conferences. It is easily accessible to persons with limited mobility. Lunch meals will be taken in the same building, which will foster interactions between participants.
